Filmmaker Kamikia Kisêdjê and the Kisêdjê Cinema Collective decided to send a message from their people to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development. The women took the lead making the statements, forcefully expressing their worry about the devastation of the Amazon and the future of their grandchildren.
