A few moments after the arrival of the first stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné 1970, Roanne-Chalon-sur-Saône (224 kilometers) which has just been won by the Belgian Daniel Van Rijckeghem ahead of the Dutch Jan Janssen (2nd) and Marinus Wagtmans (3rd).
