Sasha lives with his mum in a village in Tatarstan, Russia. He wants to become a soldier. At the age of 9, he joined the Cadet Corps. Now he plans to study in the Naval Academy. His mum insists she will not let him go. Sasha tells his friend about a terrifying family secret. His father was part of a gang and murdered. A few years later, Sasha's mum married another man.
