Volodymyr Kalnenko is a freelance artist-painter who was recognized in St. Petersburg, had a wide circle of communication, money, and a workshop. After returning to Ukraine, everything changed dramatically. The artist faces great challenges. After all, every creator is thin-skinned before the gray everyday life. The hero involuntarily confesses, having come to the conclusion that while God allows painting, it is necessary.
