An old woman struggles to help her forgetful husband remember how they met as she plants flowers in the garden. Questions of memory, loss, and love reveal the difference between fantasy and reality. Dave, a forgetful older man chats with Maggie in the back yard as she challenges his memory about their children and where they now live. She "tests" him about how they met and recalls fondly their first date and how their marriage has survived. They are both surprised when Maggie's daughter enters and we realize that Maggie is the one with dementia and is living out a fantasy with her neighbor Dave.
