But she'd hate to be labelled a copycat, plus, who wants to turn into their mother? Avital Ash's Fringe debut explores growing up a Hasidic Jew, depression, queer identity, and generational Holocaust trauma, all while being hilarious. The results are an irreverent show where Avital expertly bounces from black humour to jokes so silly you almost miss the gospel in them.
