The film tells about the work of an outstanding Russian archaeologist, head of the Department of Art and Archaeology of the Ancient World of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, keeper of the Trojan Collection from the excavations of Heinrich Schliemann, head of the Bosporan archaeological expedition Vladimir Petrovich Tolstikov and his team.
