Goddess of Oblivion Meng Po manages the underworld and takes care of daily affairs. God of Love Yue Lao in the heaven is in charge of marriage and wedding affairs. One red and one white, they were originally unrelated mythological characters, but they are inextricably linked. The movie "The Origin of the Legend of Meng Po" takes fate and mythical love as its themes, and deeply explores the past and present lives of Meng Po and Yue Lao, two mythical figures with extremely high public recognition and conflicting functions.
