When my grandmother's house ceased to be hers, the photo album was distributed as the only possible inheritance. Now, my mother and I look through the few images that exist and that, for years, shaped my imagination of family. Together, we invent a new album in which we trace the lines that connect us to my grandmother, that woman who always appears with a hard, suffering expression, without smiling.
