After studying and thinking about it considerably, author Carmen Martín Gaite said that one of the conclusions she had reached is that single women who are not out to find a husband are marginalized or caricatured, but they are never really spoken to. In Solteronas -Spinsters- we give them a voice, they tell us about themselves and we show how they have shared, and continue to share, their stories.
