I Am The Queen

As a co-director and one of the dance crew, Murdamommy and Glasspiegel pay a beautiful and rigorous tribute to the women of Chicago footwork! I Am the Queen is edited, shot, produced by and starring the footwork crew themselves. What comes off as the most moving is, even though the sentence "I Am the Queen" on its own may come off as individualistic in tone, here it is an emblem of the crew and their communal activity. Mantra for the women who teach new moves to each other, whose presence graces everyone by virtue of who they are.
