Ichiro Haruno is a young apprentice of the Onryukai Tatsumi Kogyo, a company that has a reputation for its natural talent and spirit. However, even after one year, he is still too good a person to be able to do even a single “Kiritori”. He is told, “If you can't do this much Kiritori, get out of the business! His older brother Kawada, young boss Furuya, and other members of Tatsumi Kogyo order Ichiro to make a man of himself by giving him 10 million yen for “kiritori”. Furuya tells Ichiro not to come back until he gets the money, and Ichiro begins his “kiritori” game, gambling his way to the top of the gangster world.
