On the trail of a runaway wolf, wolf guardian Hannah reluctantly visits her grandmother's native Czech village, close to the Austrian border. Hannah's mother lives here and is treated as a social outcast due to her attempts of coming to terms with the traumatic family history. Hannah, too, can no longer escape the hushed-up past.
