El adiós
In this story based on real events, the protagonist Alfonso G. Valenzuela explores loneliness, raising questions about what it really means to be alone or to feel lonely. Death is eager to take him away, but he focuses on the children he has adopted throughout his life and who live with him. The story questions the need to bring them together and concludes that loneliness is not always synonymous with silence.
