"Dream Awakens in the Golden City" is a modern urban business drama film inspired by the 40th anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening-Up, particularly focusing on the development of Shenzhen. As a tribute to this milestone, the film follows the story of a promising young entrepreneur, Ma Sanmu, who is framed by a business rival and falls into an investment scam, leaving him buried in massive debt.
