Through the voice of Daniel Paruru, chief of the Ngāti Ruatākenga hapū of the Whakatōhea iwi (tribe), and his son Danny Jr., the documentary explores the Maori perspective between the scars of the past, the challenges of the present, and their vision for a peaceful future.
