In a field historically dominated by white men, Dale Hikawa was the first Asian woman to join the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Looking back on her long career, this trailblazing violist reflects on the meaning of her life's work. "DALE" both illuminates and leaves mysterious those whose lives are devoted to following a muse.
