Miwa (Kawakami Nanami), who has trouble communicating with others, hides behind the offering box at the shrine, distancing herself from the world and spending her days drinking. One day, she meets a middle-aged man who comes to pray at the shrine. The two, who are drawn to each other only through conversation without showing their faces, eventually develop a mysterious relationship, and Miwa gradually begins to feel more confident about life.
