Fucking Doesn’t Help takes the form of a reluctant cigarette fuelled telephone conversation between LouLou Re LouLou and a philosophical alternate self; a pessimistic alter ego. Laced with Blackie’s particular brand of dark humour and subverted erotica, the film builds towards its final inevitable conclusion as necessary comfort is finally achieved, with the helpful assistance of several hundred cigarettes. With an original score written and performed by Estonian composer SK Friman, the film was completed in late October 2016, received it’s world premiere at Vienna’s Atelier Theatre on the 12th of November 2017 and won the best experimental film award at Hong Kong’s Third Culture Film Festival.
