As Christmas approaches and the Paris Hotel in New York fills up with guests, Boni, an immigrant waitress, and her brother, the receptionist, have nowhere to sleep. Living secretly in the hotel, Boni's need for rest is intertwined with a deeper curiosity: about the guests, the rooms and the lives that are hidden behind the closed doors. When she discovers a disturbing notebook in a client's room, her dream search is overshadowed by an obsession with the lives that surround her and the things we keep hidden.
