The Karas family in a Russian city faces turmoil. Despite his efforts, Andriy’s exes refuse, but he eventually falls for Sonya, an unattractive girl who loves him. Meanwhile, Colonel Karas indulges in hunting, fishing, and women, while Larisa, dissatisfied with her marriage, considers leaving for another man. The family is entangled in complex emotions, reminiscent of Hamlet, with an uncertain resolution.
