Ayu, who has been living away from home, returns to her hometown to help her mother, Mrs. Kus, prepare the manggar gudeg (a traditional Indonesian dish) for the Kupatan (Indonesian traditional Kupatan) celebration. At a Family Welfare (PKK) meeting, Mrs. Kus proudly offers to cook the manggar gudeg, even though the main ingredient, manggar, is becoming increasingly difficult to find due to climate change. This difficulty sparks a heated debate between Ayu and Mrs. Kus at the market, until they meet Mr. Budi, who ultimately helps them obtain the manggar. Through this emotional journey, Ayu learns about the power of women and the importance of preserving family heritage.
