One-Day ruler

A naive villager enters the city and, due to his strong resemblance to the city's ruler, is mistaken for him. Since the ruler got lost during a hunt, the villager governs as the ruler for a day or two. But eventually, the real ruler is found, and the villager goes back to his own work.
