Deep in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains of Nayarit, Tei Mɨayema is a secondary school founded by Ubaldo, who strives to provide education to the young people of his Wixárika community without them having to leave their land. His story reveals the challenges of preserving their language and culture in the face of institutional rejection of their intercultural model, building Tei Mɨayema as a symbol of the strengthening of his people's identity and autonomy.
