Yoshii, a middle-aged man with a dull personality, runs a run-down bar. The bar barely manages to survive thanks to the support of longtime regulars. His only salvation is the hostess Ayumi. However, Ayumi, decides to retire to marry regular customer Kataoka. Yoshii is driven to despair, but Ayumi introduces Yuri to him. At first sight, Yoshii sees her as his late daughter, Akiyo...
