In the quiet, parched summer of rural Kerala, the death of Korappan, the aged patriarch of a sprawling joint family, becomes the catalyst for a poignant reckoning. As family members rejoins for the death ceremonies for 16 days, several tension arises between them regarding property, consumption of water from a family well, love relationships and social tensions.
