In the studio. The artist Harald is just about to put a noose around his neck and end everything. When his alcoholic son Benny suddenly makes an unexpected and unwanted visit after several years of absence, he is forced to confront himself and his infected relationship with his son. Their last evening together becomes a merciless showdown with life and art and a wonder about where the heroes of the working class have gone. In reconciliation there is also the answer.
