When his grandparents have to leave their apartment to live in a care home, filmmaker Conrad Winkler starts to film the process. Separated from each other, they try adapting to their new homes, while at the same time the place, that contains all the memories of the life they shared, is taken apart. "Things of Life" shows the new paths an old love is taken to and the necessity of letting go.
