Two sisters, Celia and Aída, lead a solitary routine that revolves around gossiping about all their neighbors. They await the arrival of Marita, Aída's daughter, who lives in Canada and is coming to take them to Toronto and care for them in their old age. A conflict arises when Ángel, the building manager, declares his love for Celia.
