Back then, East Berliners were rewarded for their patience with a concert featuring David Hasselhoff in an unmistakable flashing jacket, but things have changed a lot since then! Affordable rents, freedom and total tolerance have attracted artists from all over the world, making East Berlin the creative heart of an effervescent capital.
