Reaching a crossroads in his personal life, university lecturer Martin Dawson decides to retreat into the arms of his parents, Len and Joan. On a weekend break at a cottage in the countryside, however, his parents' constant bickering, nitpicking and long conversations about nothing lead the already stressed out Martin to a rather sinister conclusion... A comedy based on the successful stage play Weekend Breaks by John Godber.
