The documentary Cantareira: Vozes pela Praça, made by students from the first semester of Cinema and Audiovisual at the Federal Fluminense University, presents the history and the daily life of the iconic public square Leoni Ramos (also known as Cantareira) in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, which was once a commercial and port center, and today is a cultural meeting point with a very strong nightlife especially on weekdays. The film goes through issues such as conflicts with the public machine, commercial appropriations and everyday tensions that are part of the universe of the square.
