A journey back to the filmmaker’s childhood, as she unearths her roots in hidden family archives. Starting with the moment on a train when her mother gently broke her the news that her biological father wasn’t who she thought he was, she travels to the present day, where she finds only the ghosts of the fathers she would have liked to have.
