Trieste-Thessaloniki is a journey undertaken by a father and son through the Balkans in a camper van. The father is returning after 25 years to places he covered as a journalist during the war in ex-Yugoslavia. He is accompanied by his son, who is filming the experience. Along the way, marks left by those events endure to the present day in this frontier region between the East and the West, a region where now we find new refugees trying to reach Europe, fleeing from the same old conflicts.
