In 1998 Raymond van Barneveld single-handedly put darts on the map in the Netherlands. For years he kept millions of Dutch people glued to the TV around Christmas and grew into a phenomenon. At the upcoming World Cup, he will say goodbye to darts after a legendary career. With five world titles and an army of fans, the darts world is losing an icon that changed the sport forever.
