A lone traveler ventures into the American desert seeking the source of a military radio broadcast that he suspects is part of something much bigger. Under pressure to return home and abandoned by would-be companions, he continues deep into Death valley - eventually choosing to leave behind all security and strike off on foot towards an unexpected confrontation with an ancient and terrible power.
