Charles Finelli
Charles Finelli is a French set designer in the audiovisual sector, active mainly during the 1970s. He distinguished himself through his work on the historical series Schulmeister, l’espion de l’empereur, broadcast from 1971 on the ORTF. In this ambitious production, he helped meticulously recreate the Napoleonic world, working in close collaboration with the artistic and technical teams. His role as a set designer involved conceiving and supervising the sets for scenes filmed in studio or on location, ensuring their historical, aesthetic, and functional coherence. Thanks to his attention to detail and his command of production constraints, Charles Finelle contributed to the visual authenticity of the series, enhancing the viewer’s immersion in the early 19th‑century setting.
